After graduating from his studies in language and literature, Stratton Bull went on to study at the Conservatory in his hometown of Toronto and later at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He performed with leading ensembles in Europe and North America, including Tafelmusik Toronto, Hesperion XX, Cappella Pratensis, Cantus Cölln and Capilla Flamenca, and has been singing since 1988 at Cappella Pratensis, shortly after this ensemble was founded.
Since 2004 Stratton is artistic director of Cappella Pratensis. His interest is particularly on the interpretation of 15th and 16th century polyphony from the old notation. He regularly gives workshops and masterclasses on this subject. Through his work at the Alamire Foundation (International Centre for the Study of the music of the Low Countries, University of Leuven), he works closely together with various musicologists on projects related to the music that Cappella Pratensis performs, including the digitisation of late medieval choir books.

Nadat hij afgestudeerd was voor zijn studies Taal en Literatuur ging Stratton Bull Zang studeren aan het Conservatorium in zijn geboortestad Toronto en later aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. Hij trad op met toonaangevende ensembles in Europa en Noord-Amerika, ondermeer Tafelmusik Toronto, Hesperion XX, Cappella Pratensis, Cantus Cölln en Capilla Flamenca en zingt sinds 1988 bij Cappella Pratensis, kort nadat dit ensemble werd opgericht.
Sinds 2004 is Stratton artistiek leider van Cappella Pratensis. Zijn interesse gaat in het bijzonder uit naar de vertolking van 15e en 16e eeuwse polyfonie uit de oude notatie. Hij geeft regelmatig workshops en masterclasses over dit onderwerp. Door zijn werk bij de Alamire Foundation (Internationaal Centrum voor de Studie van de Muziek van de Lage Landen, Universiteit van Leuven), werkt hij met verschillende musicologen nauw samen aan projecten die gerelateerd zijn aan de muziek die Cappella Pratensis zingt, waaronder de digitalisering van laat-middeleeuwse koorboeken.
