As part of the festival Laus Polyphoniae in Antwerp, Cappella Pratensis has been organizing a summer course for advanced students for many years, together with Musica and AMUZ. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 editions were held online, and successfully. Nevertheless, we are very happy to be able to work LIVE with the students again this year.
The Summerschool offers all singers from amateur to young professional a rare opportunity to delve into the mysteries of Medieval polyphony. The deadline for registrations has just been extended to 23 June. Don’t miss it! Advanced amateurs and young professional musicians are invited to attend the annual SUMMERSCHOOL (22-28 August), a regular part of the Laus Polyphoniae festival in Antwerp. A team of international experts will lead the singing sessions: Stratton Bull, Andrew Hallock and Pieter De Moor, all singers of Cappella Pratensis. Guest teacher Valerie Horst will host sessions on the art of mensural notation.
