After successful performances throughout the Netherlands, we conclude our series of corona-proof concerts 'Comfort and Joy' in the intimacy of Estate Ulvenhart. With the magnificent Missa cum jocunditate by Pierre de la Rue (1452 – 1518), performed in a small choir cast. The concert is part of a large five-year project in which Cappella Pratensis brings back to life the incredibly rich collection of choral books of the Illustre Lady Brotherhood from 's-Hertogenbosch.
During this concert, the ensemble does not read as usual from a central score, but together with the audience from a large screen on which you can see the music in traditional (mensural) notation. So you can read live with the singers and discover how music was written and read in the 15th and 16th. An opportunity you don't get every day!
